He never "used to make good points." He was never even a fan of music until he dropped out of school and copied his friends idea of doing brief ironic album reviews on the radio to make a living
He's excellent at giving the illusion of credibility and fooling both dumb and genuinely smart people into thinking he's "one of them" because of the way he looks, speaks, and the carefully crafted genteel persona being supported by calculated displays behind him.
Fantano is the guy who said Pop Group's first 2 albums are identical in style 3 years ago. Fantano is the guy who said Yeezus was "a Death Grips ripoff" 7 years ago, despite Yeezus having only 1 industrial track, but just like thousands of kids on here and YouTube who don't actually know anything about styles and what makes them, "sounding vaguely similar" is good enough for him to say it like its fact.
People really aren't aware of how far being a good public speaker can get you.

Didn’t even realize this album was produced by Trent Reznor. I’m maybe 5-6 tracks so far, but it’s slapping. I’m gonna have to re-listen to catch more of his lyrics because there’s so much happening, but in a good way. This is punk af.

Aug 29, 2020RASIEHis self-titled, Amethyst Rockstar, and Niggy Tardust are really great. His album from a few years ago called MartyrLoserKing was decent imo.
The range of styles he goes through on those first 3 is insane. Amethyst Rockstar starts out with songs sounding late-90s/early-2000s stuff like DOOM or Deltron. But then starts evolving into crazy s***. By the time you get to songs like "Coded Language", you have to double check to make sure you're listening to the same album lol
He also has stuff with nine inch nails or Trent Renzor, it’s been a while so I forgot the details
