Y’all need to stop watching akademiks streams for your court knowledge and news. It’s much more complex than needing “beyond reasonable doubt”.

It’s simple. The jury based their verdict off the fact that Tory:

1. Was found with gun residue on him
2. The gun DNA result being inconclusive and not flat out “not present”
3. Was said to be the shooter by both Meg and Kelsey (in her initial statement then never denied on stand. Just pleaded the fifth)
And
4. That witness guy that testified said he saw Tory being extremely angry, aggressive, and shooting.

I haven't been keeping up with this case, but the discussion in here all week has been about how things look bad for both sides/we can't say for sure what happened that night. But now that there's a guilty verdict, everyone acting like Tory definitely shot at her

But Kelsey had gun residue on her too, a possible motive because Megan beat her up, inconsistencies between witnesses' testimony that don't match up with the state's version of events. That's all reasonable doubt isn't it?

you're also missing out a lot of stuff. The reality is everyone has their own biases, pretending you don't is weird. For example the fact that according to basically everyone else, Kelsey is also very guilty. Therefor using whatever she says is braindead, because she's obviously going to be protecting herself, especially because she switched up her story 3 times.

Then there's Meg, who went from not seeing it, to seeing it, to not seeing it, to seeing it.

Then there's the witness guy, who everyone on the prosecution's side just last week were saying is completely unreliable because he switched his story up multiple times. But now according to yall he's reliable? see what I mean by biases?
