Silaslol do you honestly believe this?
This entire case has helped her because she was seen as a victim and this garners sympathy.
This sympathy has allowed her to win numerous awards and get alot of mainstream attention she wouldn't have gotten.
I'm not saying she planned this but all of this definitely benefited her career (whether Tory actually shot her or not).
Anyone disputing this is dumb. Meg's profile skyrocketed after her alleged shooting and while I'd argue that she was already on that trajectory considering the run she was on between 2018-2019, she definitely benefitted from being seen as a victim.
I doubt she wins as many awards and gets as much recognition as she's gotten in recent years if not for that. Sucks to say but it's the truth.
With that being said, I'm interested in seeing where her career goes after this and if her winning the case boosts her profile again because the support for her music has basically been non-existent since 2021.
