They don’t talk about her masculinization or the way this incident was framed from the very beginning, nor do they mention the fact that some of the backlash came because of the social justice angle her team started pushing a while back.
They have so much ammo to push back against the actual misogynoir she’s faced and instead of pointing out the reasons WHY she was aggressive that night, they deny that she was aggressive at all which is something so easily falsifiable.
Instead of getting into why misogynoir and peoples perception of some black women as cold uncaring and promiscuous might have led to Megan lying about her relationship with Tory as a means to avoid having this case turned into some Love & Hip-Hop gossip s*** they just act like it doesn’t matter at ALL. It does matter.
The actual defense to her lying about sleeping with Tory is that she had an understandable REASON to lie, not that her lying is irrelevant and shouldn’t have consequences.
I hate when people basically uncritically regurgitate stan twitter talking points and have their names signal boosted and it’s called “good journalism.” This was clearly made to be retweeted and liked by pro-prosecution people and it’s working considering the likes and RTs.
