Because during this era prior to this she was spiraling. She said on the stand she wished she would have died if it meant not having to deal with this trial. All of this in the midst of a label dispute (which im sure they gonna use her character flaws of “lying” to they adventage), not getting a chance to mourn the loss of both ya mom and ya grandma passing the same year?

Nah facts. And people have been running around saying “mutual abuse isn’t a thing.” I don’t know who said it first but it’s so obviously bullshit to anyone who’s been in or seen real toxic relationships. I hate how that trial made people act so much.
This one has the extra layer of the alleged perpetrator and the victim being black so it’s gonna be a whole other level of toxic.
On one hand, Black men are always being falsely accused of being violent and we don’t really get the chance to deny it or defend ourselves. On the other hand, nobody ever believes Black women or take their pain seriously. It’s a recipe for disaster. This never should’ve happened tbh.
