So what I’m getting from all this is that Tory definitely fired and Megan is just complicating her case with all her unnecessary lies

    yes exactly lol

it's insane. And this is someone with some of the best people in the US on her team

tho I still believe Kelsey/Tory fought over the gun & it accidentally went off

For the people saying Megan/Tory's romantic/sexual relationship being public knowledge doesn't matter, y'all are wrong. It absolutely does.

Even after Megan told the initial set of lies about not being involved with Tory, not being shot at, etc, when she eventually got her story straight, she could have come out to explain her relationship with him. Why? It gives context to why they were together that night, why the fight/argument happened and she could have easily explained why she was even involved with him — she could have said something like "we bonded over both of us losing our mothers" or whatever else she wanted to say and just explain so people had more of the big picture around what happened. Yes, the jokes would fly around her messing with a short dude like Tory but people would eventually get over it. Now, after lying about not being involved with him in any way in a highly-publicized interview with Gayle King and several print media interviews, in the court, she has admitted to being involved with him. This allows Tory's defense to use that as proof of her having a history of lying. See why lying in situations like this doesn't help?

Telling the whole truth from jump would have left less holes in her story and would have gotten her even more public support and sympathy.

Instead, she told lies when she really didn't need to and made a whole group of people who might have otherwise believed her story, doubt her. And now, the case has gone to trial and Tory's lawyers are having a field day poking holes in her story. Smh.

Not sure why people ask these inane questions

the lies told just show that protecting her public image is what matters most to her, tory getting jail time is just a nice extra if it happens as well. being a victim and having clean public record is more worth than people thinking she is a trouble maker, even if being completely true might have leave less wiggle room for torys defence

I can understand her wanting to keep a somewhat clean public image. She's a public future and every public figure understands the benefit of having a clean image.

The reality of this whole thing is this.
Once you're a public figure involved in something that's become public knowledge, you have two options:
    1. Say nothing and let people make up their own theories about what happened and how you were involved.
    2. Create your own narrative around what happened. Preferably one that's as close to the truth as possible so you don't get exposed as a liar in the future.

That's really all Megan had to do. She already has an image that embraces being overly sexual, she's known to drink a lot and to be sort of a party animal. Nothing would have changed if she came out and admitted how she was involved with Tory. Her fans wouldn't stop supporting her if she did that and she would have had the chance to frame a narrative that worked in her best interest.

Blame her for making it a blm, breonna Taylor, “protect black women” issue when really this ws just regular degular domestic violence (allegedly)

Regular degular domestic violence is a CRAZY phrase.

Also…ehhh you dont wanna look at DV statistics

That isn't taking power away from her. That's people not believing her and considering the fact that she has told many unnecessary lies throughout this whole thing, you can't blame them.

When TMZ leaked the video of her walking on the street with her feet bleeding, everyone was horrified and wanted to know what had happened.

Instead of her to worry about herself and protect herself, she lied about her association with Tory and lied that he did nothing to hurt her (as a way to protect him, as she claims) and also lied that she didn't get shot and it was glass that cut her feet and made her bleed. I don't know about anyone else but if someone I'm friends with aims a gun at me and shoots 5 times, everything changes at that moment. You just tried to kill me. I will immediately do everything I can to protect myself, including saying exactly what happened as I remember it to whoever asks/will listen.

All these things were heavily covered in the media and people believed her because they had no reason not to.

All of a sudden, she changes her story to "Tory shot me" and she posts/deletes a picture that was meant to prove that and people started slowly considering that maybe that's really what happened but before you know it, she's back in clubs/parties twerking and riding the boat like nothing happened.

I hope she gets the justice she's seeking but she played herself. She should have found a narrative and stuck with it from jump. That's always the first thing to do in cases like this.

Niggas in rap were insulting Tory and calling him an abuser when the story first came out. It got so bad that Tory even made songs complaining about niggas not giving him the benefit of the doubt so I don't know where Megan is getting this idea that people were always on Tory's side because that simply isn't true.

The more this whole thing dragged out and the more lies/inconsistencies started appearing in the story, the less people believed her. That's really what happened.

The case has finally made it trial and there are still inconsistencies with the story she's telling and the story her lawyers are telling. It's infuriating seeing how much she's fumbling this whole thing.

    Best post all thread

What were u watching lol? She did well. I actually thought she was gonna fumble the whole thing but she pulled through

Her story does not align with the persecution. Anytime she had a tricky question, she claimed she didn't remember, which made her look like she was not forthcoming and holding critical information back.

How did they find and keep broken nails found at the scene, but managed to supposedly lose the bullets?

One of the officers (I believe it was an officer) already said they botched the evidence gathering so that explains it. But that's just an absurd level of incompetence.

Ding ding ding. I honestly don’t know wtf happened that night but you have to have a 100% belief that Tory intentionally pulled out the gun and shot at Megan. Just seem like there’s a lot of inconsistencies with her story. Not to mention the lying. Hell, everybody probably lying in this s***.
