The accuser lied and changed her story multiple times.

I am okay with giving accusers the benefit of the doubt, but this was alarming. Because there was a witness who saw her without any visible discomfort, she claimed she was forced to wash her face and settle down before leaving Kobe's room. What's even worse? she was given a chance to correct herself months after the initial statement; she continued the lie. She didn't admit to her mistake for a whole year.

Finally, the settlement. People actually use this as Kobe's confession.
Kobe was strongly advised by his own defense team AND other prosecution to settle this case. Why? He could risk losing everything, and it does not help that he's a black man. If he didn't settle, it would take years for this case to conclude; his wife also had a miscarriage during this time. When you settle a case, it's a compromise with you and the defendant; you don't think the accuser wanted Kobe to say those things?

To substantiate this, the accuser asked for "unspecified amount of money, as well as public vindication.". She got both in the settlement. The accuser is the one who wanted this comment.

Its what the lawyers, from both sides, agreed to make Kobe sign to end it; it has nothing to do with Kobe's actual feelings or the reality of the case.

Nothing but it's way more complicated than that but most people are ignoring it

it's been rumoured for years now that she has substance abuse issues & she was wasted on the night. That night from what we know she got into a huge argument with Kelsey (her best friend of years) and during that argument Tory allegedly shot her. If she waswasted (likely, just came from a party) then it's extremely likely she had very little idea of what was even happening.

People on here act like Megan intentionally made it all up to bury Tory but nah I just think she's got a bad recollection of the night & over time dug herself a deeper and deeper hole. She could still be right though obviously.

She had an argument with her friend and Tory yes. people have arguments when they're drunk. They don't have arguments witn their friends when drunk then make an elaborate story of one of them shooting em though. Meg would have to be a sociopath to do that fam. It's just far more believable she's telling the truth. This case has been far more damaging to her than if she didn't say s***.
