Been watching adventure time from the beginning. its lowkey like a crash course in mindfulness and zen. always dope when the characters meditate

I feel you that has always been my main issue. Don't feel bad about it tho, even meditating once a week is better than nothing. Have you tried any apps?
One thing that helped me was finding a guided meditation that motivated me to show up each day. The waking up app has been super helpful because of this, very easy to just hop in and do a session. + Sam has some great insights too.
The headspace netflix show is also great because it's short and each episode they give insight about different techniques before trying it. The animations are great as well

Im using medito, somebody on here recommended it to me,I really enjoy using it,the actual sessions arent anything special that I havent heard but I really support their cause that meditation shouldnt be locked behind a paywall.
Its just so hard for me to get into a rhythm and any kind of a consistency with it.
I guess we have to keep trying even when we fall

Even a single second is a success, donβt get yourself down about it! Any habit worth building will take some effort, try not to get discouraged and instead see every effort as a success

Definitely keep trying, as long as you don't forget about it completely it's cool
sometimes just to be mindful of the sounds around you or your breath for 10second on your way to work is good enough
Oh yeah, this may seem obvious but try to practice on a specific time and place. connect it to some other activity you do so the brain can establish the routine more easily like: after you brush your teeth meditate 5-10mins in your room before bed or immediately after you wake up

Even in meditation, focusing on sounds helps greatly. Just integrate the sound and feeling of ur breathe with the other sounds and feelings.
last 2 weeks been so hard for me. Just in an enormous slump
You know what to do g
ELIMINATE DESIRE MY NIGGA
cant stop thinking about a moment in a dream i had last night
definitely influenced by the practice lately and it was lovely man. and the feeling felt within reach.
One of the hardest struggles I have with this is regret and time. Even over the smallest things, I think about how I could've done it differently if I had been consistent with this or any other healthy habit. Getting back on a routine has been good, but i've felt so guilty over the things that I couldn't or just didn't do without one
This time i've been able to deal with it better than before and repurpose that energy, but it still hurts.
But on the other hand, getting back on this, and feeling yourself catch up to where you left off is really nice.
Managed to allot 10 minutes of time today
my goal is to stick with this for at least a week and up the time from there
