Going in deep today
Had a very meditative experience climbing. Zen/Stoic as well. Took a 5ft fall my first fall on my first lead climb and I just calmly said "might fall here" as I tried the move and then bam I silently fell and thought "that was neat". Eventually finished the climb but being present and without attachments in that moment felt really special.
Need to bring that to my seated practice.

Bit of both probably. I only started climbing like 6 weeks ago or so and have only been out 5 times I think.
Ok this is why I stopped meditating a couple years ago and focused on the Holy Spirit.
When I would meditate, my head literally opens up. It’s powerful but uncontrollable. I’m also unsure of what I’m inviting because the “universe” is rn huge and I’m a gnat in its existence. All the spiritual brain gifs is real lol. I could feel the energy from my crown but I knew it was God. When I would meditate, the energy was different. It was a headband wrapped around and my body was on 10.

It’s so important to really BE in the present moment. You will be amazed, once you start meditating, how rarely (if ever) you are actually in the present moment. It’s also so powerful once you start to change your relationship to your thoughts using facets from meditation - s*** is like a superpower.

A lot of ppl I know are just on autopilot their whole day,rarely do people stop and take a second to BE.

i've been practicing taoism and zen buddhism since 2012. i've experienced ego death and i'm one with nature.
Been meaning to do this early in the morning, but don’t even know how to begin. Everyone got a different method it’s always some new s***. Anyone know what’s a good all around meditation routine?

One you get to a point where your thoughts become separate to you and you just watch them and label them in a dispassionate manner, you really feel like you’re floating.

It’s like your breath is part of the equilibrium of the universe. It’s very peaceful.
Best thing is is that you carry these skills over into your walking waking life.
Do you guys listen to music while meditating?
Sometimes I do. Depends. I like nature sounds.
Meditating in nature is goat though. Just hard to find a spot.
