You do know that M/M Paris, who designed the packaging, are classically trained multidisciplinary artists that didn’t just google “red paint texture” right? Also about the gold border. It’s a gold border. Nothing about it looks like it’s from PowerPoint unless you work a white collar office job and you are looking at PowerPoints all day.

Also listened to an interview with Todd Russel where he talked about how he went to pick up the prints for the cover and Todd knew Kanye wouldn’t like the way the gold turned out so he went through a lot of trouble to find a printer that would print the very specific gold ink they had.

As for the album, I don't know. I def feel like a lot of people say it's perfect just to fit. But it's one of the greatest rap albums no doubt, even tho I don't really listen to it

Glad they used their effort and degrees to make the cheapest looking choice possible. The bordering and background makes it look like an obvious undercooked attempt to being thought of as high art. The painting by itself would have far more presence and strength

Dark fantasy to me is a great example of how conditioning and presentation can alter opinion. Like I said it’s a good Kanye album, but it’s not better than 808s/CD/LR/Graduation, and those albums have aged better too

OP, stop trying to be a contrarian. MBDTF deserves all the acclaim and recognition that it has gotten since it first came out. Stop trying to pretend that you don't like it just to be different lol

Now, you're allowed to prefer other Kanye albums over it (Late Registration, Graduation, etc..) but MBDTF was Kanye West at the peak of his powers.
