Bruh Fergie's verse wasn't even that bad at all, what a hilarious nitpick.

Also bro stfu about John Legend on Blame Game. Look, I haven't like John in a long time, but he made that song the way it is. Both Ye and his performance on that track was amazing.

Monster is mostly okay looking back at it, but I have to say Nicki's verse still the most overrated on the album imo.

Also So Appalled was really good track, even if RZA outro wasn't really perfect, it wasn't that bad at all

Never understood the issue with RZAs outro lol like its a 20 seconds outro on an almost 7 minutes long track

OP clearly never taken a walk through a snowy campus with Blame Game playing through your headphones and it shows

Walking through campus in the fall when Rodeo dropped was an unreal experience

Also walking in Florence when Daytona dropped was similarly unmatched

Honestly, I don't understand op's point, it feels like just stupid nitpicks to put down the album lmfaooo

Like shut the f*** up, just say that it's not your fav album, walk the f*** home.

Like the Chris Rock skit on Blame Game is perfectly fine and it's wild, but it's not bad lmfaoooooo

And MBDTF is not my fav Ye album.

I'm still deciding between all of them

no such thing as a perfect album anyway

I'm just as excited for Drake's FAT D as the next guy, but this album season has me thinking, there's nothing Drake could do with this album or any album in the future to ever touch Kanye's legacy, and thats gotta be a pretty frustrating position to be in considering everything seems to be stacked in his favor as of right now.

He's outselling Kanye, doesn't have any controversies on the level of Kanye, and is overall at the peak of his fame (maybe scorpion was the peak of his popularity but you get the idea).

In my ponderings it dawned upon me that all Drake is to the common man is a popular rapper, whereas Kanye was (and in some senses still is) a total zeitgeist in and of himself.

Where Yeezy succeeded, Nocta fell flat

Ye's experimentation is lauded, Drakes experimentation is widely regarded as a joke.

Ye's every movement is in the news, how often do you hear about Drake?

To add insult to injury, Drake hurls sneak diss upon sneak diss at Ye and Company just to rarely if ever get responded to. Its embarrassing at this point and I say that as a fan of Drake.

I can't imagine being in his position. One of the most popular rappers in the world can't obtain the same level of respect as a man who spouts nazi rhetoric and needs punch-ins on half his verses.

Even if you believe Drake is more talented and creative in every aspect than Kanye, which I believe most people would disagree with, there's no denying who folks will remember and look up to in 40 years.

I dislike when people misuse ‘literally’. That whole third paragraph was a s*** show.

Anyways, OP’s whole post ultimately lands on “it’s a great influential album” before insecurely accusing everyone who doesn’t read OP’s pointless post of being p*** addicts.

What a waste of time. I wish I had the ADHD OP accused us of.

There are some opinions you keep in the chamber, this is one of them.

Perfection in art is just a matter of personal taste, something is perfect if it embodies all the things you seek in that art form.
And personal taste is obviously wired to emotions and affection. People can either not care or overlook certain flaws because for them the whole is more than the sum of its parts. Lock thread

only thing about mbdtf i would change is at the end of Dark Fantasy he repeats the hook again when you think the song is about to end, that s*** was so unnecessary

Not reading all that but a perfect album doesn't exist and never will

High tier classics just mean they sound more perfect to others/most than other albums but not every person will agree on anything as perfect

If you are making a thread, 13 years after a release of an album, with a title like "this old album isn't perfect," it's far more telling that it deserves to be brought up with aligned "perfects" at the end of the day tbh

Also the title + 14 pages of debate in under even 12 hours kinda inherently proves it's up there

It solidified him as one of the ones lol

When it came out immediately people were talking like it was that and he fell off to most of the 2000’s fans soon after with Yeezus

Production wise it has all of the best things you love about Kanye up until that point while still being a cohesive and new-ish sound that didn’t sound like his other albums and probably his sharpest pure rapping of all his albums

Also that was probably the peak of his influence and “Prime Ye” love as a whole lol

It actually deserves a doc next lol

    Solidified?

I mean the first four albums of his catalogue did that to me lol

Dark fantasy to me is a great example of how conditioning and presentation can alter opinion. Like I said it’s a good Kanye album, but it’s not better than 808s/CD/LR/Graduation, and those albums have aged better too

There’s records on Donda that I’m taking over most of dark fantasy too 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ 24, new again, >>>
