I felt like I was watching a movie Lana was forced to make by WB executives at gunpoint so she dedicated the film to letting us know how much she loathed making it.

I understand that's partly the "meta commentary" but Jesus it was so poorly executed, no wit nor subtlety, very insulting to the audience. It feels like the "I was just pretending to be r-word" meme in movie form.

on a technical level it was just flat & ugly. like a tv movie.

Jessica Henwick was good though.
