Bane has the greatest movie taste known to man so I am glad he on rewatching saw that with the original cinematographer Toll that this would be a 10/10 and changed his score

Yeah and in general, shooting during covid is a whole different ballgame in and of itself

But regardless a good artist should be creative in finding solutions to immediate problems imo. Not saying they should be flawless but atleast show their brilliance in ways most people wouldn’t dare to think

Like if this movie had been like "aight lets just pause until everything eases up entirely" filmed when it made sense and delayed til original date of June 2022 or December 2022. With a true send off not budget wasted on paying police in san fransisco during covid. All other things would have just been given some time.

Wb sheisty in general tbh. Their whole m.o. was making money ofcourse like any company and the art and people suffer as a consequence

But even if the movie came out on a later date a lot of the same complications would exist and i doubt Lana would want to change the look and feel of the movie too much. This movie clearly is a deliberate aesthetic and artistic departure from the earlier trilogy

Some people are so tiresome to argue because they actively refuse to comprehend the vast medium of choices an artist director decides to make

And the resulting images from those choices aren’t necessarily “bad” simply because you dislike them or don’t see a reason for them or think they feel off from what you wanted or expected out of a Matrix movie
