i could see why you say that, always looked at that scene as a way of showing how too far gone Noodles is and how pathetic that whole lifestyle is especially with it's archaic views towards women, especially when compared to the romanticization of the gangster film in the Golden Age.

But truthfully so y’all think Snyder could continue a worthwhile dceu now with creative freedom ? If anything this has proven WB cares about creative freedom even if different limits with superheroes

It def could have worked tho if they just went all in and did their thing instead of flip flopping left and right based on what marvel was doing
Their movies now are bricking way harder then the snyder era stuff, and in those days almost all the stuff meant to connect the movies got deleted or written out

Yea there’s this weird ass revisionist history with DC where it’s like people are complaining that they didn’t have a plan and that Marvel / Disney did.
But if you actually look back at the negative reviews a lot of complaints that were leveled at them was that they should make their movies more fun
And lowkey WB fed into that complaint and it led to the disjointed mess we have now.
People are only now saying this “DC didn’t have a plan now” bullshit cuz they’re finally tired of the formulaic superhero movies nowadays lol
And are saying “well at least Snyder had a vision” like boy what
