I don’t care if anyone hates the movie because without subtext or rewatches I get it . Same as bvs without subtext is atrocious. Difference is here I think the subtext isn’t just referential and earns it’s rewatches . To say there is no subtext and “ you’re making it up this movie has nothing to do with mental health Lana is glorifying suicide not seeing therapist and taking pills . “ simply isn’t a good take . People always as they have even in this thread saying “ you not take your pills today “ “ see a therapist “ if you question things . Society view of mental health and therapy is part of why no one knows if their reality is real or a simulation because they never question it they are too exhausted to
