it has ZERO to do with what I think and thats what where I'm getting, my personal rating is bigger than what critics should give this movie
this movie is technically TERRIBLE, this isn't my opinion, and I could give you 100 reasons why it isn't a good movie, even I or you find it enjoyable in the end, but its still technically bad
you can ignore a lot of things and not understand or focus on only the things you like, but a film critic has to be a***ytical when he's a***yzing a movie, I love films that most critics hate, and I understand why, because I chose to ignore things that they can't ignore
what pisses me off is that time and time again they're choosing to ignore those thing or in other cases accentuate those things for political reasons
I think your main point is in the last sentence because so far you seem to get along with the idea that critics are allowed to appreciate different things and ignore things you are annoyed by
If things are politically motivated then it would still not prove the movie is objectively bad and here’s why:
Bad movies don’t exist, and neither do good movies. Bad and good are relative terms that only make sense within a certain limited context. A movie that is generally deemed bad can be good in a different context, like say “The Room” for example.
Whatever people use as motivation, i wish you would stop arguing against them and just put forward your own thoughts instead of fighting an uphill battle to prove everyone wrong. You’re likely never gonna win that, even when you think you got things figured out, for the simple fact that art is subjective and there is no one way to “objectively measure” or derive a score out of a movie. Even aggregate sites have taught us that objective ratings don’t exist.
