When a somalier starts pulling flavors out of their ass to describe a wine they just tried it's really hard to not scoff but then we could do the same thing with art and plebs would just look at us like we were crazy so I give them the eggs benefit of the doubt

some things aren't clicking for you and that is fine, but who are you to say that something genuinely doesn't click and work for another human being?

you can't say that people are 'excusing flaws' when objectively speaking there is no flaw to be found the same way you see things... cus we're not going off your lived experiences or your opinions.. we're letting people decide that for themselves
something can actually be amazing to someone else for a whole plethora of reasons that you simply ignore or don't value...
it has ZERO to do with what I think and thats what where I'm getting, my personal rating is bigger than what critics should give this movie
this movie is technically TERRIBLE, this isn't my opinion, and I could give you 100 reasons why it isn't a good movie, even I or you find it enjoyable in the end, but its still technically bad
you can ignore a lot of things and not understand or focus on only the things you like, but a film critic has to be a***ytical when he's a***yzing a movie, I love films that most critics hate, and I understand why, because I chose to ignore things that they can't ignore
what pisses me off is that time and time again they're choosing to ignore those thing or in other cases accentuate those things for political reasons
