There were def people going overboard with their hate for Last Jedi with death threats but never really saw people get mad at the notion that someone enjoyed the film. It felt more targeted at Disney and the actors whereas here it’s fans against fans. Maybe it’s cause the internet has become a more hostile place as the years go on

Last Jedi felt like a film with a vision and sought out to bring new changes to Star Wars. Nerd ass mfs hated the changes and just wanted nostalgia bait and more lightsabers instead of having layered characters. TROS ended up being jam packed with s*** the fans were begging for and they slopped it up and that’s why it’s sitting at a high ass RT audience score. Definition of movie made “for the fans”
