cuz he was pissed at the A***yst for repurposing him and bounding him to the simulation. He wanted revenge against the A***yst so much that he was willing to put aside his rivalry with Neo. It seemed like he was more interested in freeing himself from any form of control.
Lowkey it feels like him even fighting Neo in the first place was to spite the A***yst.
Yeah cause that’s why he is like “ I have some old friends “‘
That’s just nostalgia controlling what you want though
I know that’s part of why I said groff did great because he didn’t do a full Oracle impersonation but left hints that as seq says isn’t our smith
It’s similiar to when We listened to Tetsuo and youth or at least I realized sequencing and everything down to interludes had a purpose
Yeah cause that’s why he is like “ I have some old friends “‘
Everything he does is with the hopes of f***ing over the A***yst.. he tries to kill Neo because he knows the A***yst wants him back in the system, but later saves Trinity because it'll ruin his plans just as much.
Sati in this movie is kind of smith level especially “ neo was wrong” before it was over
Ngl I'm taking some of the s*** I learned from y'all and putting it onto my letterboxd review, people need to see this s*** y'all saying 😭😭😭
This was no less of an entertaining clusterfuck as Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending
I was on a little lsd so it was an experience
You microdosed?
After sati the one who literally painted rainbows in the sky and look what it became anyway
Most of the time when there is a “ clear evil “ they are vanquished end of movie . “ the suits didn’t kill me” . Then when we think trinity going to kill him she does but he comes back , they shoot him too but he comes back . But he is terrified when he doesn’t have deja vu close. I think without deja vu or nostalgia by people being present the a***yst can die but never does that’s why he cases deja vu when smith coming to kill him @SegaDreamFlash @emu

bro I'm glad you brought this out cuz Deja Vu appears during the first attempt to extract Neo, and in the coffee shop scene where the A***yst reunites Neo and Trinity.
Maybe Deja Vu is actually a program the A***yst needs to make changes. The ability to alter the Matrix is not part of The A***ysts system as opposed to "The One" who can actually alter the system all on their own.
I knew that “ it happens when they change something” over and over was the best representation of movie
