Lmao GotG is not close to the best. Game was decent. Gameplay got super old. Spiderman 2 is way overhated. Spiderman 1 and Morales are fantastic. Don’t expect or want you to agree with me.

Sees 20 mins max of a 15-20 hour game and knows exactly how it’ll be
I’ll do you one better; I knew this was going to be mid when the leaks came out. “B-but it’s not even finished yet!” Don’t care. The bones of a meodicre game were already there. My pattern recognition was going off like crazy, I just needed confirmation. So far, I’ve had nothing but that.

I dont think s*** is quite it but more of the same and a game to buy on sale ? 100%. The only reason to buy at launch for 70$ is to play and discuss first / no spoilers. There is no got to play it mechanic wow its about to really push the genre forward.
We have barely seen dismemberment. We have seen claws but no real idea on how much different claws change combat vs aesthetics. Same as costumes how much if at all they change any attributes. Skill tree eventually yeah you will unlock cool moves but beginning is going to be a bit of button mashing galore.
Its okay to be like man this isnt it for 70$ for my taste but some will get their moneys worth and thats dope. Glad it runs smoothly regardless with 60fps and 4k

we all do have formula we enjoy and I think its important to realize that while also realizing people can and will constructively criticism a formula if it gets stagnant. Creed remake just dropped them creed fans popped back up. Some dont like witcher/ cd projekt red formula, arkham fomrula, far cry formula, madden yearly releases but they all deserve a bit of criticism once they become formulaic.

I mean Phantom Blade Zero is more my personal taste so I am ready to see more monday. Mocap on that looks crazy and boss fights, enemy variety and weapons being shown sell me . If they had that same exact gameplay with a hero skin people would show it love for what it is but the game is the .
Also vice versa if this wasnt a wolverine skin on the game people would be much more honest about it

art style with faces a little off or uncanny so it throws things off. I think they should have went more cartoon like stylized than realism in my opinion but to each their own

I wanted Wolverine to look visually interesting with visceral combat that doesn’t look bland. I wanted cinematic sections to look batshit crazy instead of just running through gunfire for 30 seconds. I want some creativity when it comes to fighting bosses instead of doing the same thing we’ve been doing for decades.
Maybe just give me some vision and a bit of creativity in my superhero video game?
Prototype did it. Wolverine 2009 did it. Arkham trilogy did it. GotG gameplay was pretty standard, but the writing was amazing to compensate and you can tell they poured their hearts into the game. Wolverine 2026 feels like a product.
