A real hero would not let hundreds of millions die, simply because he was prohibited from interfering.
That choice makes the characters unlikable right out the gate (these mfs damn near villains)

But the trailer clearly establishes these mfs witnessed genocides and catastrophes without stepping up to stop them. I'm just sayin, that doesn't sound very heroic to me.
But yeah, im obviously still gonna watch the movie to get a better sense of what they're going for.

Right. I feel like "we were told not to interfere" is just lazy writing. And it doesn't make them sympathetic characters. It has the opposite effect actually.
Like, that premise is so depressing, that there's no way these characters shouldnt, at the very least, all suffer from major ptsd.
