Nov 6, 2021gotta process this but it’s without a doubt Marvel’s most beautiful but riskiest film that we’re gonna see in a long long time (can’t see any other phase 4 film feeling this different).
Definitely a change in tempo from Marvel’s output so far.

AvaCrazy to have a truly divisive MCU movie. I understand completely the people who felt not much happened. But I can’t relate to that viewing at all. The cinematography, the emotion and dialogue was fantastic and crazy different from other marvel movies. I’m actually really glad I saw this with low expectations. My only gripes is that when it gets slow it slows to a full stop. Also didn’t like a few story choices, but I feel like that’s something I gotta think over. Second watch is definitely a must. As for now, 8/10

Dude, this s*** was moving at a snail’s pace for the first 60-90 minutes.
After finding Gilgamesh & Thena, I actually thought they were gonna go to each Eternal for like 15 minutes each, tell them the news and watch them brood about it.
The movie was a lot better when they were all together but f***ing hell, the movie had some mad pacing issues up to that point and way too much exposition.

yup first act really put my friend to sleep literally and i felt very bored and frustrated with the pacing

I agree most of my issues are with the first hour, I actually didn’t mind much of the opening only until the flashback started. Movie slowed soooo badly.

I can appreciate a slow movie but if your pacing and storytelling is messy as f*** and your character‘s stories are not that compelling that’s an incredibly slow and exhausting start

The potential really was there.
