Yeah definitely looking like a primetime CBS show here (in episode 1)

A literal Google search of "Daredevil cinematography" pulls up more interesting shots, colors, and cinematography than the majority of the MCU or basically any of Born Again
Cherrypicking, and also like cmon b. I just binged s3 cuz I never saw it, in prep for this. It looks like a Paramount plus CBS show. So sure, we can cry forever about SEASON 1 from last decade but cinematography of "CBS daredevil but a tad more violent cuz it's Netflix" is not the hill to die on. Not like you're the only person saying this but like, be fr. This new s*** looks good. And the other s*** never looked "grimy" or had a real aesthetic besides some shots. It looked like network television
None of this is me hating on the old s*** just because either, I liked basically all of it quite a lot. But the visuals were not the best thing about it. By far. This, and all the street level spinoffs (plus defenders) were grey as ever loving f***. Just office buildings and greyscale suburban houses when not in apartments. Grey and yellow.

Netflix show just looked like a standard TV show, nothing more nothing less. People fell in love with the characters and the choreography

I completely agree (the choreo is a bit schlocky but it made sense with the budget and what they were doing at the time). But that's not what homie was sayin
Now, if this new daredevil does a 1v50 type scene.......that's when we can really start comparing. And I doubt the Disney plus joint is gonna lose that battle. The intro scene of the new joint is harder than like 80% of the entire old show alone
This s*** finally got daredevil swinging around and s***. Cmon now, let's not miss the forest for the trees
Honestly really loving the vibe of the new season maybe because personally i just never really liked Karen or Foggy especially but the court stuff was all
really sad White tiger is already dead was really interested in his character and thought he'd be around the whole season but since the actor sadly passed away i can understand why they killed him off great season so far can easily see myself liking it more then season 2
are we sure he was supposed to be in more? I don't know the backstory of the production in regards to him so forgive me

yeah they're cherry picking this new season tough. it's really great so far

Idk man that first fight scene gave me the strongest uncanny valley feeling ive felt in a while. I wouldnt praise it, it looked like s***. Pretty much everything since that has been fine so far though.
The biggest difference i feel is the set budget. The sets (for reasons i cant explain) feel less like a soap opera in this compared to netflix. It’s making the world feel more alive somehow
Really liked this episode a lot. It gives me the lawyer Matt that we haven’t really seen since Season 2 and The Punisher trial. I love that side of the character. He’s a man that tries to abide by the rule of law and steps out when it feels necessary.

Cgi smoke wasn't the best decision but if you've ever been on set, you know how hard that s*** is to control/get perfect so I don't blame them. A few not perfect shots doesn't detract from a "one shot" fight scene with multiple POV changes and lighting styles, idk that s*** was crazy
I think that the camera work is just better overall. better cameras, used in a more cinematic fashion, plus the bb podcast segments really help to drive that "lived in" feeling home. Also just higher budget in general. Better sets, more extras, more details in the locations

while i get what you're saying lets not act like the other seasons of daredevil didn't have the most fakest looking punches of all time

Im not saying anything bad about the choreography to be clear. Its the weird cgi
