For years now, Marvel fans have waited to see what exactly Marvel Studios planned to do with Daredevil. In recent years, we’ve had a few glimpses. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock made a brief but thrilling appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, proving himself once again to be a really good lawyer. Plus we got to see him be a really good fighter, too, in She-Hulk, where Matt and Jennifer Walters undertook some rough-and-tumble, both against baddies and between the sheets. But now the time has come – Daredevil is about to be Born Again at last, with an all-new Disney+ series picking-up where the hit Netflix show left off. Well, more or less.
“There was talk early on about reinventing the whole thing, to see if Matt was a slightly different person,” Cox tells Empire in our Andor Season 2 issue. “But it ended up more of a continuation.” By the sounds of it, Born Again will exist in the same continuity as the Defenders shows, providing context for everything to come. “A lot of the history follows on,” says Cox. “The relationships and dynamics set up in the previous seasons still exist.”
Most notably, the dynamic between Matt, and best pals Foggy (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll). While the trio often had their differences across the Netflix show (largely owing to Matt’s nocturnal activities as the red-suited vigilante Daredevil), they’re reunited in Born Again – and, as established in the final episode of Daredevil Season 3, law outfit Nelson & Murdock is now officially Nelson, Murdock & Page.
“A few years have passed,” Cox explains. “In that time, Matt, Foggy, and Karen have found a pretty good rhythm.” But nothing disrupts that rhythm like the meddling of Vincent D’Onofrio’s terrifying Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin. “Matt’s made peace with his role both as a lawyer and a vigilante,” says Cox. “Then, of course, s*** hits the fan.” Sounds like Hell’s Kitchen is about to need a really good lawyer all over again.
So you’re telling me this takes place even before Echo? Yeah ok lol
The OG Series timeline ends in 2018

the ending of Season 2 EP 8 got me geeked
In Daredevil: Born Again, Charlie Cox (Marvel’s Daredevil) once again plays Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities who continues his fight for justice through his bustling law firm. Meanwhile, former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Marvel’s Daredevil‘s Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities as Daredevil and Kingpin begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
.
In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, Daredevil: Born Again also brings back Deborah Ann Woll (as Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk) and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/Punisher), all from Netflix’s Daredevil series. The cast also includes Margarita Levieva (Revenge) as Heather Glenn, Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark) as Daniel Blade, Nikki M James (Severance) as Kirsten McDuffie, Genneya Walton (Never Have I Ever) as BB Urich, Clark Johnson (Evil, Bosch) as Cherry, Arty Froushan (Carnival Row) as Buck Cashman and Zabryna Guevara (New Amsterdam) as Sheila Rivera.
