Blade laid the foundation, being marvels first big hit capeshit film
Spider-Man gets a lot of the credit. But blade started it all
Also “cool” lmao it’s one of the best comic book films ever made to this day
you should've been specific because you made it seem like Blade was like THE most influential comic book film
Superman '78 and Batman '88 are arguably the most important comic book films of all time
4 movies a year (plus 10 disney plus shows) is simply too much. they should go back to 3 movies per year and also cut their D+ slate. also x-men should be its own separate film universe.
oversaturation is real.
Spike Lee?
And I guess the other two pics mean she thinks that Gina Prince-Bythewood + the batgirl guys are up for too
Blade >> Blade 2
I hear this every now and then but refuse to agree. Blade 2 was better in almost every way. Dat soundtrack, the rivalry with Ron Perlman, the weirdo face morphers, that little weirdo that replaced whistler, ppls fetish for beating the s*** outta whistler
Blade 1 was cool but what lmao
Compare it to the other comic book movies out at that time period

Spike Lee doing Blade would definitely give us a lot of dope shots at least but I'm good off that. I'd be comfortable if it were in the Lucas Brothers' hands.

Lol yeah let's hire the guys whose 90 million dollar movie was considered so bad it was more useful as a tax write off then a movie

I used to think Blade 2 was better when I was younger. Rewatched both and the first is just more grounded, funnier, and has better action sequences (not as over the top as the sequel) imo.

I agree with you that the cgi in 2 was too much
Mahershala don't leave pls
Dude gonna be in his 50s by time they actually shoot
Can imagine put imagine putting a movie with dogshit deacon frost over blade 2
Stephen Dorff did a great job. The final fight scene was the only thing that was lackluster.

Did you see the original "fight" they shot and thankfully reshot?

Disagree his character was goofy especially compared to nomak who was literally hunting down the top dog vampire

The CGI in that final fight was already ridiculous. Now imagine if that bullshit made the cut, lol.

I agree Blade 2 had the better villain though.

Well their other 90 million dollar movie grossed almost half a bill and was the highest grossing film of 2020

Even the dialogue was super cringe lmaooooo
Nomak had the vampire race shook, way more interesting motivations
So shook they turned to their worst enemy for help
Wesley snipes was a nuisance throughout the three films production.
He tried so hard to get a s***scene with jessica biel
he bullied ryan ryenolds and kept calling him a cracker
Compare it to the other comic book movies out at that time period
That and it came out one year before the matrix, Blade set the template
