I like The Boys, I have no issue with R ratings it just doesn’t do anything for my hype level.

If it was pg-13 it’d just be less nudity, swearing, and gore.

True it’d probably be less gore and violence but to me that doesn’t make a movie worse or better. I can understand others looking for that from a Blade movie given what he is

I was always interested in the Blade character for his complexity of hunting vampires while being half vampire himself

But I’m not asking for it to lower its rating or anything or claiming it hurts the movie. I was hyped for it either way

In their defense, Ali looks good for his age

He does but we’ve been discussing for multiple years now how old he is and that marvel should’ve gotten a younger guy

Written by the writer of ‘Logan’ and starring Mahershala Ali and Mia Goth

And it seemed like Mahershala was ready to leave this project if Marvel kept giving him bad scripts , so the fact that he is genuinely optimistic now…I’d say things are looking positive for now

Feige knew they had to quickly get their s*** together before they lost Mahershala, so i feel like they are working extra hard to make this a good film

I know hindsight is 20/20 with the Jonathan Majors stuff and he was an upcoming hot talent at the time he was cast. but I wonder what if Ali had played a villain like Kang instead and a younger actor was picked for Blade.

Hopefully this ends up good after all of the delays and behind the scenes issues.
