A Blade game should have Arkham Knight tier graphics / vibes and not this stylised disney/cartoon s*** they're teasing.
I hope to be wrong but this is gonna most likely suck.
They should’ve also taken notes from Cyberpunk 2077 wrt the art style. But they’re trying to stand out from the rest of the crowd with the art direction they’re going for
So I say let them cook
This taking 5 years minimum lol. They don't even got a 3rd person action game already that they can build off of like the Spidey sequels.
They probably have had Dishonored/Deathloop in 3rd-person mode in dev builds/prototypes
See I was right in that statement above why do these damn companies announce these games so early?
I believe projects get announced early for the following reasons:
1. Recruit new hires for the development team
2. Drum up interest (in this case, Xbox REALLY needs some buzz right now with PS5 trouncing it year in year out)
And a very topical one:
3. Get ahead of leaks / rumours

Eh. We've seen plenty of studios not have their stuff announced way early and develop just fine, get hires just fine. They just post on their website. Gaming industry has a lot of turnover, so it's always folks looking for a job.
Interest would be generated regardless, would it not? They're also in a contract with Marvel here, so they're making the game regardless unless things go horribly incorrect. The issue is release the games you announced 4 years ago or longer, Fable, Hellblade, etc instead of announcing more stuff that's years out.
Leaks gotta be proven regardless and typically it's info getting out when they're about to announce something soon anyway. Take Kojima's game which was a ton of "it's fake, it's real, it's fake" energy for like 3 years straight.
If the other two powers that be in Nintendo and Playstation can manage timely announcements typically, then Xbox doesn't get any excuse for their annoying ass strategy.

you're much more likely to draw the best talent if they have an idea of what they’re working on before they join
the idea of working on certain franchises will absolutely sway people to join one studio instead of another especially something licensed like this either because they’re a fan or because certain franchises will come with higher job security

Like I said earlier, the Xbox brand is in a dire state currently; they literally have no relevance whether it’s through a fault of their own or the audience just isn’t interested.
If you remember at last year’s TGA, Xbox had absolutely ZERO announcements, and the gaming community noticed that and thought there was something going wrong with them. Xbox making a splash at TGA with Blade and OD felt like them making it up for last year’s no-show.
Yes, Xbox has a history of announcing things very early (still waiting on Everwild and Hellblade II since their 2019 announcements). But that’s probably cause they have a software/hype issue. You’ve gotta get consumers excited for the future of your platform.

Bruh, we even got wolverine info finally. Where the f*** is this at. I remember reading something that said this wasn't coming until probably 2027 and thinking no way in hell. Well now I'm guessing that may be true. I just wanna see a snippet of gameplay to see if it looks like I want it to look.
Somebody said this s*** probably wasn't dropping until 2027 and almost spit out my drink. Sounded absurd at the time. Crazy how time passing changes s***

This cancelled along with the Blade movie
