Full disclosure I'm not really an expert in the world of comics
But I think if you wanted to include younger alumni, they should be new mutants who were ignored by the previous movies (or were introduced in the meantime) and they should act as second fiddle to their mentors, the characters we're familiar with. Possibly to lead into their own sub-franchise. Give me adult leads in the X-Men movies we tired of the YA s***

FREEHonestly even without the Jean stuff I think humans have enough reasons to hate Mutants but I've always maintained that Humans hating mutants makes sense in the comics as well.
It's a huge difference between people getting into accidents or experimented on and having powers but the existence of the mutants is evolution outright saying people in the current form are obsolete that would cause chaos in any society.
I agree but I think the audience needed to see at least something for themselves. Fox wasn’t the best at doing this.
Like I feel like there had to be a way to show it vs continuing to explain. Even within the last few pages I don’t think people fully get it

yeah i like that idea. show us something new.
third iteration of the x men in almost 30 years and both of the last 2 led to phoenix. i don't think its crazy to assume that jean is going to be a pivotal part of this iteration and we may have to sit through that again.
the biggest difference we're gonna get is no wolverine because they don't have the balls.

I think MCU earned the right to truly establish X-Men and mutants from the jump. They’re not doing anything particularly different to how X-Men team is works.

In most superhero stories you're either a Hero, Villain or Anti Hero but the X Men all generally switch between all of those semi regularly and I think that's why they're the most relatable and human superheroes out of all of them.
People argue all the time that like "if people really had powers they'd be homelander" but no most people would be like mutant characters because they exist in a constant gray area (no pun intended) and that's why I think all the mutants including Jean are the GOATs.
Her older sister was kidnapped and murdered obviously hurting strangers is f***ed but I don't think how she acted was out of the realm reality cause niggas will walk niggas down with guns IRL family all Jean did was a drive by with her mind is it f***ed? Yeah but she had to handle that

It also evidently gave people the wrong impression of X-Men, which is why I think it’s worth building up Logan’s entry. They’re not in pain for him and he’s not the first character you introduce

Yeah the films were the first time they were ever teachers and it introduced the concept of multiple kids living at the school.
Generally speaking they only would have one younger teammate like Kitty or Jubilee in the mainteam then a side team like the New Mutants who barely interacted.
