I think it's because Spider-Man is the most relatable superhero. He's just a regular high school kid dealing with school, money, friends, relationships, and trying to figure out life while also being a superhero. Most people can't relate to billionaires like Iron Man or Batman, but they can relate to Peter Parker.

goblin has been done twice now. once really well and once really badly. feels kinda pointless doing it again.

BND shows that a spider-man movie can work without his traditional rogues gallery. i don’t see the harm in straying away from them. if the movies are good they’re good.

one thing they could improve on over the raimi movies is to give him a nemesis that builds over multiple films. it was something that had so much potential with Harry but they didn’t stick the landing. it feels like something that would be a huge W for this take on the character if they can do it properly this time.

Just have Norman be introduced post secret wars as iron Patriot instead

They could do it with scorpion if they flesh him out a little more and eventually make him his venom

Scorpion would be a great arch nemisis with potential venom team up

I see it now, maybe change Roderick from being a fashion designer and socialite to a scientist. Ned and Peter could get jobs at Alchemax for example under Kingsley. Kingsley is secretly developing Goblin tech (different enough from Willem's) and let's Ned in on it. Leading to the confusion and him ending up framing Ned.

Could be a good mystery and test of friendship between Peter and Ned.

For s***s and giggles he could meet Gwen or Felicia at Alchemax too.
