no one thinks this.
but i hope the odyssey isn't in too much danger due to spider-man and can bounce back (it still has to open in china and the past 2 weeks have proven it'll be just fine even with spidey opening)

So a breath of fresh air is going to feel nice to most people, but the top critics aren't comparing Brand New Day to other MCU affair - they're more likely to criticize it as its own beast and it's clear it has some issues.
this thing has so much more visual flair than any of Watts's Spidey films but it still feels like a commercial to me, especially with how everyone seems randomly crammed into this movie - and I'm really hoping that changes.

Another review said that as much as a change of direction was appreciated, it still doesn’t do enough to set itself apart from the previous three films or the recent MCU output.

saying it has the issues of other MCU films as a reason for why it's failing as a film is not the same as saying it's a good movie because it's an improvement on what we had before
