Mac Wit Da CheeseI’m starting to disagree with the whole discussion about Spider-Man needing to be on his own. It’s become the popular opinion of every critic of the Holland movies. This isn’t like the other Spidey movies this is one that takes place in a world where other heroes exist it’s in character that Peter would fanboy and look up to some of these guys.
Captain America had Black Widow & Fury in the sequel and an Avenger team up in the 3rd and never gets that criticism because unlike Spider-Man this is general audiences introduction to him.
That being said I still have my own issues with FFH & NWH but that’s more to do with some plot points. Spider-Man has had so many team ups in his publication history. Let them have fun with it before he inevitably goes back to Sony exclusively when the MCU reboots

Hearing the guy who is pretty much completely known for playing an innocent teenage superhero screaming in joy as he gets his a****** f***ed on screen would be shocking.
Especially for those who weren't watching the show and just stumbled into that clip.
How do you not see why that'd be jarring, most people haven't seen him in ANYTHING but spiderman lol.
It's not in actuality a deal at all, but I think people need a second to get there. It is absolutely shocking to see that out of nowhere

I think there is also just a limit in general of crossover/cameo dopamine. There is a point where it just reaches a limit of throwing characters and references in a movie. Where the hero doesn't get enough time to be themselves. Homecoming was the right balance in a way but in that case Iron man gives him a suit and the villains are technically proxy iron man villains who are mad at iron man and in the end trying to steal weapons from iron man. In that case its too much built around iron man plot wise. Then movie 2 is again coping with iron mans death so again so much built around iron man plot wise. Movie 3 are holland, tobey villains fighting a spider man they have 0 history with and a plot started by strange and holland. Yet solved by plot device Nev and more. When you add in other MCU characters or focus less on the hero overall many moments feel unearned.
The issue is this Spider Man has had an entire trilogy and appeared in other central movies totaling likely 10 hours overall. Yet what we have gotten from him is kind of limited. Every single movie or iteration so far he has instantly trusted every man older than him . Him falling for Mysterio then teaming up with realm jumper villains the very next movie and letting them in happy apartment shows 0 logic in any form. Negative character development
Meanwhile we see Garfield and Tobey have developed or changed. Holland guides them on how to be a team which I guess is supposed to mirror Iron Man obviously. But Holland finally figuring out how to lead a team before going emo solo, aunt may (dead no reason) and no one remembers him is like "okay"

cause in each movie he’s went to somebody else for help instead of someone him

PAINMANspider-man teaming up with other heroes is always dope
for the next trilogy though i think it’s been long enough since ASM2 i’d like to see new takes on the rest of spider-man’s regulars that haven’t been rebooted yet, we’re definitely overdue for a black cat

The first one the bad guys get their tech from chitauri tech the aliens of Avengers. They’re mad at the government group taking the tech when they’re scrappers. We later find out Tony funds the government group so it’s a whole “the people who made the mess are making money off it too” thing but the villains motivations aren’t to hurt Tony or anything. The final heist is to steal tech back from one of his jets but that’s it. Vulture has more of a connection to Peter in that movie and is 100% his villain
I never really liked FFH and bringing back old characters doesn’t get me hype so NWH was just cool to see Peter change from it although I had problems with plot.
Garfield Spidey I dislike (although he’s the best actor of the 3) and I won’t let recent hype of him change that just cause he was redeemed in NWH
I agree Toby had best villains although they all fall under the “he’s really a good guy and is redeemable” trope. Goblin controlled by suit, Ock controlled by arms, Eddie turned by Venom, Sandman is good but needs money
