We all have our equally valid and ridiculous gripes with how Spidey movies have adapted the source material, but its the only major superhero live action series that will always make it a point to honor the hallmarks of the mythos in one way or another

I think this aids in a lot of the continued huge success of the films regardless of quality. It’s just funny to see this then see comic fans swear up and down that comic accuracy is something to scoff at, or something that would alienate the general audience

Like fam, the highest viewed trailer ever has money shots recreating classic covers. Think about that one

can you list the genuinely great movies that are comic book films that you miss?

There are more but that’s immediate ones where they stand on their own I can watch them without ever craving or needing a universe or even a sequel

Some of my favorite movies of no time are one offs not even a sequel . So non universe movies great . I’m more hyped for clayface because I think it will stand on its own

if this is a peter parker movie first and spider-man movie 2nd it will be great

if this movie profits off the novelty it's a superhero movie within the mcu it will be like any other soulless mcu movie

If that’s Keith David then he’s Ezekiel. If its Tombstone, he’s monologuing about actual spiders but ofc with subtext that applies to Peter’s mutation
