Just finished my rewatch of the Toby trilogy and man I’ll never forget being a kid thinking there was absolutely no way Spider-Man 3 wasn’t going to be the greatest thing to ever exist. I swear I became a man in the theater that day

Also just finished ASM 1 last night and it was better than I remember! The lizard was kinda awkward but for the first half of the movie it felt like everything progressed super well. Loved the increased animosity between spidey and the police and they made becoming Spider-Man an actual believable process from a vengeance to hero journey.

Also I don’t understand people complaining that Garfield was too cool, Peter was a LOSER in this lmao. He just had a backbone which I appreciate but him not having any friends was believable as f***. At the same time he had this chemistry with Gwen that was almost too sexy lol. And Flash comforting Peter after Ben’s death

I feel like I’m going to into ASM2 with an open mind and be reminded exactly how they fumbled the bag but this set of films started out pretty good. They didn’t nail the parent stuff but it was an intriguing hook I’ll give them that
