Amy Pascal: This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – this is not the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn't part of… we're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.

I have a theory from this interview

This part got me thinking…

Fandango: I’m sure fans will be happy to hear that. You know, speaking of the fans, many of them want to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man go up against Tom Hardy's Venom. They want to see a live-action Miles Morales. What would you say to those things? Do you have stuff in the works?

Amy Pascal: I would say there's so many things that we're going to be able to explore, but what we always have to do before we decide who the villain is going to be and what Spidey goes up against is what is the story we're telling about? You know? What's the Peter Parker story we're telling? What's the Miles Morales story that we're telling? But we always have to start with that. The good thing about these movies is as big as the canvas they take place on can be, they are always just stories about a kid.

Fandango: Just a kid from Queens…

Amy Pascal: Just a kid from Queens or Brooklyn, in the case of Miles, right?

Fandango: Of course!

What if Miles becomes the live action Spider-Man of the SSU and they do a Spider-Verse movie later on with Peter and Miles vs Venom, Kraven, Morbius, etc.

That way the SSU has a Spider-Man and the MCU keeps Peter Parker.

Amy is putting A LOT of emphasis on Miles and for them to just have him animated (as successful as that is) could be a waste imo

what i want for the first installment of the college trilogy

After the events of NWH, Peter Parker’s identity is once again restored but after having suffered major loss…

going through college, having to pay for it all on his own with what left he has, working at the daily bugle and other various places, balancing out all of that with his social life and Spider-Man life.

All while keeping him and Aunt May afloat, he no longer has any personal connections to anyone in the Avengers. He’s on his own

Definitely!!

Those movies need a Spider-Man desperately if they’re gonna keep going

And they can go with the plot that Miles is from another earth like into the spiderverse

However this retcons the Donald Glover prowler “I’ve got a nephew who lives round here’ thing out of being useful, although they could make that a random miles who just never gets the powers and doesn’t become anyone

I wonder if we will get a new director for the next trilogy. I like the teen comedy vibe that this trilogy has, but I'd definitely like to see a tone change for the next films

Watts going on to Fantastic Four as well, maybe he can stay there while a new person takes spidey through college

Although Watts doing fantastic four still seems a bit shaky of a prospect IMO, very curious how that’ll be
