Didnt care too much for the first 2 movies in this franchise. The action and set pieces (or the characters for that matter) weren't as impressive to me than the Raimi films but this third one looks really good.

It’s quite clear now that Peter’s theme in the film is about the need to not be too p**** to make a choice. He f***s up again and again because he’s too p****, and Goblin’s line, ”you’re struggling to have everything you want while the world tries to make you choose” echoes Peter’s want to live two lives while Doctor Strange echoes Peter’s need to choose, ie ”the problem is with you trying to live two lives”

So it’s clear what the want/need is here, and how Strange/Goblin are like the angel and devil on Peter’s shoulder regarding responsibility in how they’re influences over him in the story (remember Goblin influences Peter to the point of Peter going against Strange to free villains from the multiverse)

It’s why I can forgive the spell being botched by Peter not shutting up. Cause despite how hokey that is, that’s not what it’s about. Peter messing up the spell is about him not being able to choose. Like how are you asking Strange to make the world forget you’re Spider-Man but you also want select people to remember?

I’m pretty sure the differences between Tobey and Andrew drive this point home as well. No Way Home is about the power and responsibility of making a choice
