Toby looked like a 36 year old in High School. Not a good Peter Parker at all, that nostalgia talking for some of you.
Coogler above and beyond these faux-directing hacks Marvel always hires
coogler is insanely talented
and Killmonger was a top 3 mcu villain
still black panther was mid , that final fight was horrible

Spiderman 1 and 2 are absolutly 2 of the most overrated movies of all time. Homecoming washes both of these movies added together.

That 3rd act was pretty bad and really took the movie down
Was really good tho untill then
After killmomger beats t'challa the movie takes a dip

This. 3rd Act brings the movie from a 9 to a 7 highkey
I love tom holland, but Andrew is so underrated. Perfect Peter
Perfect PETER?
Perfect PETER?
Dude smoking crack.
Spiderman 1 & 2 are GREAT btw. As is FFH.
Homecoming pretty solid.
The rest meh.
Tobey will forever be the best Spider-Man and Peter Parker
Tom is literally Tony Stark Jr with a spider symbol on his chest

Reportedly delayed indefinitely
Read up for some context, the 2021 SUMC Spin-Off (likely Spider-Woman) is delayed indefinitely, not Spider-Man 3. Production on this film is delayed though
Twitter having the best Spiderman movies debate. And I been waiting to argue about this
I will forever die on the Amazing Spiderman movies being underrated and the MCU films being overrated hill. As movies themselves I think the MCU films are much better crafted and they work on many levels but I don't think their good Spiderman movies and here's why.
First off, Tom Holland is a really good Spiderman. He has the best balance of both roles. He's young so he actually fits the high school narrative unlike Tobey and Andrew. Tobey always came off as too corny to be Spiderman and too old. Andrew definitely had the best quips and his voice when he's Spiderman fits the role great. His problem is that he was a little too cool to play the nerdy and awkward Peter Parker. Tom has the right amount of nerdiness and awkwardness to play Peter Parker while still being somewhat cool unlike Tobey.
Despite Tom Holland being a great Spiderman the reason why the MCU movies haven't hit me the way the Raimi movies or the Webb movies did is because Spiderman has always been a character who can stand on his own. He's never felt small even though he's a street level character. In the universe, set up by the MCU it does make sense for him to be a smaller character but it doesn't serve the character well. My biggest gripe though is the presence of Iron Man in these movies. I think having Spiderman be so intrinsically tied to Iron Man has undercut the importance of the character in my eyes.
I've joked many times that the MCU Spiderman is not Spiderman he's Iron Man Jr and I really do think that's a big issue. In Civil War, Tony Stark discovers Spiderman and gives him his suit to wear. This will always be the fatal flaw of the movies. Not that I or anyone else wanted to see another origin movie but we never got to see Spiderman be Spiderman before Tony Stark gives him the suit. And the fact that he gives him the suit undercuts the independence of the character. For the next two movies he's largely dependent on Iron Man. It's a smart thing the MCU did by basically having Iron Man replace Uncle Ben as the motivating factor for him becoming Spider Man but it's simply not the character.
I honestly could write a 15 page thesis on all three of these Spiderman franchises and their strengths and weaknesses. Hell I might do that just for fun. Yea no one's reading this

Great read, I largely disagree with most of what you have to say but man I might be there with you on your stance on Holland’s Spider-Man character(not movie quality)
If they milk Iron Man again or make him a large part of the story

Yea I know I'm kind of alone on the Garfield bandwagon lol. AS2 is pretty trash tho. Through no fault of him tho.
