mjpplusThere are core aspects of the character (particularly in the first) that it does embrace
Like I love how in Homecoming it shows him actually making his webbing in chemistry class. Like you can tell he was self sufficient before Tony, I think it was Marvel’s way of him getting his “classic” suit is where it deviates. But when he lost it I felt like it became a true Spider-Man movie there. No Tony to help him, all by himself. Yes the plot is tied to Tony but Peter defeated him with his own will.
When he was knocked down he got back up. Rubble scene being the best example. It’s not embracing every aspect that the Raimi or Webb movies embrace, it does embrace very key elements.
It’s not ALL there but I hope the third one does bring it all together
Final two sentences most true cause if he don’t it wouldn’t be realistic he could beat these villains

Not even.
I forgot who itt said it but Raimi's series felt like epics.
TASM is way more grim in it's portrayal. Especially when you consider s*** like Peter getting his girlfriend and his dad killed cuz of his superhero antics.
im not talking about the feel but the way they both portrayed peter as someone that tries to do s*** themself before asking for questions for example
while tom holland spiderman especially in homecoming was just following tony stark basically needing guidance everywhere
i think thats the biggest difference for me, mcu spidey has other heroes to look up to / ask for help (even nick fury) while the other two just had to figure everything out themselves
also the whole aunt may / secret identity thing
and the creeping on the girlfriend thing was the same in those, mj in mcu spidey is different
those are just examples, not saying raimi and asm were the same but they got similarities between them in the story which mcu spidey doesnt

You mean after he almost got his friends killed over in Washington when the alien tech was in neds bag?
You mean after f***ing up and getting washed by Vulture when he tried to stop him from stealing from a truck?
You mean after he nearly got a boat sunk down until iron man had to come support him and get the boat back in repair so he didn’t accidentally get innocents killed?

Lol it’s not an L . When the goblin bomb ripped tobeys adult face off I felt something . I don’t feel that tension with mcu spider man yet but I hope I do . I’m rooting for him and even though we know he will win cause he signed on for so many movies why wouldn’t I want them to take risk for the final movie where marvel has rights ? I know it’s going back to Sony so uhhh I want them to make this deal worthwhile

When Peter was looking for the Lizard in the sewers, Peter shot his webs in several directions and ties them together so that he'll be notified when something touches the strings. That's dope as f*** to me cuz it's like damn this nigga is really being hunted down by this monster that he can't take no chances with, setting little precautions like that.
Every time they fought, Spidey fought like his comic counterpart, mixing his different powers and gadgets and learning as he's going, adapting to the situations at hand.
Bro Peter literally fought him like a Spider, webbing him up , crawling around him and making a damn coccoon lmao
During the fight at the school, the Lizard threw Peter through a wall, then creates an explosive out of nearby scientific equipment and throws it in after Peter as a makeshift bomb.
