Looks like it's gonna be a multiverse "Trilogy" per-se

    WandaVision, Spider-Man 3, Doctor Strange 2

Black Widow, Eternals, and Shang Chi won't deal with the multiverse as far as we know

Here’s a sort of timeline lol

Studio execs had said they didn’t want Tobey and Andrew in SM:ITTMV because it was “too soon”

JK Simmons returning as J Jonah Jameson in FFH

    Morbius trailer shows a picture of Tobey’s Spider-Man & MCU’s Vulture

Sam Raimi directing Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness

Jamie Foxx returning as Electro from TASM2

Doctor Strange in the new Spider-Man movie

I don’t know that Tobey and Garfield will be in this movie, but they’re definitely building to that. I think Sony’s end goal is to use the multiverse to tie together Venom, Morbius, Raimi & Garfield series. They may use this movie to set that up, introducing the multiverse and featuring minor characters from the other installments crossing over. Then have the big event movie where all the Spider-Man’s have to team up to fight the Sinister 6

Tobey, Tom and Andrew all on one screen as multiverse Spider-Man

Realized yesterday that introducing the multiverse and making the older franchises cannon would open the door to consider all films cannon. Eric Bana and Edward Norton as Hulk, Ben Affleck as Daredevil, Cage as Ghost Rider, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine with all the other X-Men. That would be something, and may be the only way Marvel’s gonna be able to up the spectacle of IW & EG

MCU doing all this just for Ryan Reynolds stay woke

legacy already cemented for the most part they just gotta cater to the nerds now

Catering to nerds still sounds like playing it safe tho

Disney continues the use of nostalgia bait...yet fans are calling it fresh and new.

Disney really are some manipulating geniuses.

yeah in a way I agree

there's definitely some instances where they could try out characters that mainstream audiences aren't necessarily familiar with or have too much appeal past the hardcore fans

gotta find a balance of both

Sources tell Deadline, the plan is for Cumberbatch to shoot Spider-Man first and then jump into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which Sam Raimi is currently prepping. The idea is to have Cumberbatch step in to the role Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark had in the first film as a sort of mentor to Parker. Further plot details are under wraps.

They gonna have Peter casting spells?

(It’s some good stories where he does tho lol)

It’s weird b/c I think MCU spider-man technically has more experience than Dr Strange lol

    if they pull that off

I’m imagining they would want to build towards the big event movie. They’ve got a unique build towards it now with all the different spider-man franchises, venom, and Morbius. I think they would need one movie to establish the premise, and then another movie that is actually the event film.

Basically Spider-Man 3 could start having villains from other dimensions crossing over (Jamie Fox’s Electro), but the other SpiderMen wouldn’t show up until the following movie (or at the very end of SM3).

I’m thinking, based off the rumors we’re seeing and things we know already, the sinister 6 would be

    Green Goblin - Dane Dehan
    Electro - Jamie Foxx
    Venom - Tom Hardy
    Morbius - Jared Leto
    Vulture - Michael Keaton
    Mysterio - Jake Gyllenhaal

Although I wonder if they’d bring back any of Tobey’s villains. They technically all died so idk if they would do that though. Except for Sandman :khaled
