as silly as Peter letting the Sinister Five out the Doctor Strange prison sounds on paper, it’s gonna be perfect dramatically on screen:

think about how f\*\*\*ed up Peter is gonna be mentally regarding the Mysterio kerfuffle, and evidently by how he’s living in the aftermath of becoming an outlaw, he may be rife with a lot of guilt. Norman with his “I was victimized by Spider-Man” act as a plea to Peter inadvertently plays on Peter’s guilt at the perfect time, as Peter is probably thinking “I won’t let Spider-Man killing someone mess things up again.” Thus he falls for Norman’s good guy act and frees the Sinister Five out of dumb guilt - a fitting motivator for Spider-Man in the comics and certainly one for MCU Peter

this will be a good bit of dramatic irony and building conflict in a moment that plays perfectly for the audience. We know Peter’s decision to prevent trouble is gonna lead to trouble but he doesn’t know that, and as frustrating as it will be to watch him make that decision…we’ll understand
