Like Webb's Peter is probably more traumatized than the others because he's been directly responsible for his GF's father death and also hers. That alone is enough to teach MCU Peter to move different

Raimi's Peter probably still a broke boy tho so MCU Pete can flex on him

But using multiple Spider-Man is a way to show the full "responsibility" of the role and the actual consequences to Peter. I mean he's been in a battle for the fate of the universe already lol but I think it could still help him realize that it doesn't necessarily get "easier" with more experience.

It sounds extra but fr a live action Spiderverse film can also have meta commentary on how not only the Spider-Man brand has changed/been w****d out over time but how superhero films and blockbuster films period have changed, given that Raimi’s Spider-Man is essentially the birth of the modern superhero landscape that the MCU built off of

Plus nothing exemplifies the big budget studio mindset with popular IPs more than casting three different Spider-Men over just 14 years with one of those Spider-Men being in a custody battle between the biggest film company ever and the creators of f***ing PlayStation

Totally agree. I was hoping this film to free itself of the ties with the bigger MCU universe ,and more specifically Iron Man, so it could be a bit more self contained and standalone

i feel like a more toned down spiderman movie is inevitable but u have to look at it in comparison to where the MCU is

the current expectation is that we’ll see what wanda do something in wandavision that affects all the other mcu movies this phase, i love that idea personally to see how everyones affected by it, its also a thing that we’ll see get fixed at the end of this phase with dr strange 2, so all the movies n shows between wandavision and dr strange will in one way or another deal w the multiverse in a big or small way, so its pretty much the perfect time to do this for spiderman too yk?

if this spiderman movie wasnt involved thematically right now itd stand out in the mcu, if they did it sometimes later itd be weird and not fit with the mcu idk if im sounding clear
