The problem is that these days movies always leak. Endgame which was one of the most secretive movies of all time even had leaks. They even changed release dates so the movie would release at the same time in most countries to prevent leaks.
If they don't show it in the trailer it will just leak a few days prior to release and that will ruin it for so many people.

Willing to bet money that they don’t feature any character from other universes in the trailer, but the multiverse is mentioned in the movie and characters do return (but only one Spidey). But the movie may have a post credits scene setting up the return of Tobey & Andrew.
Tobey isn’t going to be in NWH. But this movie is almost definitely going to set Sony up to use their SpiderMen in their own movies, and lead to a Multiverse movie with all of them in it.
