some of y’all are weird (this isn’t specifically directed at you but if you believe this stuff then maybe some of it is)

like talking about a shake up on Spidey’s character but most of the criticisms directed towards this version of him is about how the MCU story surrounding him affects his character, which makes a big distinction between him and other versions of the character.

Well with an interpretation as removed from the source as MCU Spidey is, a return to roots (focusing on the more responsible, self reliant Peter instead of his "Starkification") is surely considered a shake-up lol.

Anyways what I meant by my post was that Spiderman gets a director with a more present personality and real talent. And let him work his magic with Spidey like Waititi did Thor. Edgar Wright is perfect imo

Saw this tiktok with millions of views definitively telling people ‘it appears Tobey and Andrew won’t be in Spider-Man 3. Sad news guys’ based on some random fake info

and ALL the comments were like ‘aw 😢 this sucks’

They need to just drop this trailer or full cast or something

yeah, gotcha. Sorry if i sound hostile lol i get your meaning more in depth now with this added context and i would agree with this whole heartedly, i think there are various directors that could do a much better job with the character in terms of presentation and even with a switch up on personality.

I would also say that after (or during) No Way Home is the perfect time to start to really have this Peter really mold more into his own as he is growing up. I think the “Stark-ized” version of the character was fitting for the MCU but as he grows up he definitely needs to become more his own which i believe Feige will be doing for sure

And man i’m f***ing furious now that you added in Wright as a option because i know that will never happen now since creative differences over Ant-Man. F*** this makes me mad a Edgar Wright Spider-Man Movie would be a classic no doubt about it

The Cornetto trilogy are some of my favorite movies ever, I can't imagine how dope a Wright directed Spidey flick w/ Tom Holland would be. As long as he's able to do what we wants of course.

I would use this opportunity today to play into the alternate universe aspect of Spider-Man NWH, and drop a tobey Spider-Man 4 teaser image or something. So it’s like an alternate universe where Spider-Man 4 would drop

It’s like wtf Tobey’s franchise is still going? This universe is still going on? And it’s like IRL marketing of an alternate universe where Spider-Man 4 came out

but it’s actually marketing for Spider-Man NWH since Tobey is in it

What if it's only Doc Oc and Electro that are back? Not the other Spidermen? It's gonna be so disappointing if we get anything that doesn't include Tobey and Garfield

Honestly if Tobey shows up and not Andrew I’m perfectly fine with that tbh

And let’s not forget, holland wants to be spider-man beyond just a one trilogy. his growth from here can go anywhere.
And people forgetting when he came into the MCU it was literally at the most troubled time in the infinity saga(civil war and thanos snap). We already being teased a rogue gallery for him so it’s going to get more personal
