It was a good movie. The fan service is what made it so good.
I am just not that much of a fan with movies that has multiple villains. The scenes also felt really short
And like most Marvel movies it had a sloppy start
this movie was kinda... okay? It had some serious problems which nostalgia really papered over. Almost all the fight scenes were dope but save for Andrew Garfield's first appearance and Willem Dafoe killing it as Norman Osborn, there was little else that really stuck with me. Kinda disappointed tbh, after all the hype.
Yeah, the fighting scenes werent amazing. They were good, but not something out of the box.
And it felt so fast paced. Some scenes really needed some breathing
They’re right. As much of a delight as NWH was, I’m tired of Marvel’s bland cinematography

feel like its unfair for NWH tho bc they needed NYC during pandemic and it had so much going on etc
i dont think MCU has bland cinematography all over anymore like it used to
all the tv shows looked cool, eternals and shang chi looked cool aswell. ds2 looking good aswell
blackwidow and nwh tho
even tho nwh did have some cool ass shots
God please keep that totem s*** away from the films i’m begging.
Lowkey it’s all Sony can do to equal Avengers without having the Avengers
Milk the Spider-Verse and that means Spider Totems and Morlun

You’re right in its probably inevitable but I feel like they could do something original and so much better with the spider verse concept.
Its def just my bias coming out but I always felt like that spider god thing was a huge jump the shark moment for Spider-Man and took something away from the character. Funny enough in a similar way that people feel about MCU Peter being so connected to Tony so early. Morlun also just feels so generic to me, at least too generic to be as impactful as he was.
Would love Osborne as a maniac business man in this universe, like similar appearance to TAS, pulling strings like a yakuza boss
This is still my favorite of the Holland trilogy but I like it a lot less the more I think about it. The whole thing kinda collapses upon any deeper thought.
They had to film it in a pandemic though on location shots probably weren’t even possible and why it got pushed back so many times ppl should be thankful this one movie alone might’ve saved theaters from closing completely

Yeah there’s a lot of plot holes when you really start to think about it, they just knew bringing back everyone would sell tickets but kinda failed at a good written way to make it possible
Nah f*** all that the scuffle with strange was great

Sandman and Electro didnt need to be here at all. Lizard has close ties to Andrew and that could’ve been played up to some degree in response to MCU Peter having a mentor issue. Idk, over time I found myself thinking hard of the missed opportunities.
But, most of the stuff with MCU Peter I liked if not loved and thats what I signed up for since the identity reveal. Always been take it or leave it on the crossover even though I ended up enjoying it.

Normally I don’t care about plot holes but there’s just not a lot going on in terms of its technical filmmaking for me to not notice those things. If it was thematically interesting and had incredible visuals then I wouldn’t even have considered picking apart the mechanics of the narrative.
They really made this whole thing on zoom

spiderman 3 was ten times better shot than this disney bullshit
They really made this whole thing on zoom

The Tobey portal scene was even worse
The lighting and compositing didn’t match the rest at all.
Some folks blame the pandemic for all the sloppiness, as if Marvel productions aren’t notorious for their over-reliance on VFX for the simplest things.
you can’t compare a fast paced action scene to a scene of people at a table
marvel haters showing their ass

I think it’s definitely a good thing they’re semi-rebooting Spidey then and keeping him more down to earth.
