Bro posting just to post why the f*** would Blade need to be in an alternate reality.
That's the least of the movie's problems
If blade is in an alternate reality or NOT apart of the MCU that gives THE DIRECTOR AND WRITER CREATIVE FREEDOM TO NOT BE SWAPPING OUT EVERY FIVE SECONDS LIKE A F***ING OLYMPIC RELAY RACE
So this gets to be alternate reality but not blade ?
Why on gods green earth would blade have any need to be alternate reality????
you're gonna confuse em even more!!!

alternate reality as in NOT set in MCU
and not beholden to their s***ty ass writing

not in MCU
if he not in MCU he stays encapsulated like The Batman Reeves
there is only so much satisfaction anyone will get from Blade meeting Spider Man
and sometimes it isn't worth all the struggle to get to that moment

Would be cool if marvel started making the side movies and s***
But atp they know, we all know that that's gonna bring less engagement and they'll kill whatever you want even faster
The only good thing that could possibly come out of Deadpool playing grabass with wolverine is more R rated stuff, so I'm praying blade gets shifted up the pipeline as a result. But that's not even what you're worried about tbh so fingers crossed on all fronts for unique (and GOOD) stuff

I genuinely think side movies would save them to say okay some of this is its own thing
X Men seeing Spider Man doesnt need to happen that bad.....
X men being their own thing when you have hugh jackman fully willing to be in every movie you need and the old cast willing to do so would be more nostalgia and satisfying than holland and random new x men meeting

But tbh tho, that's gonna be even more confusing. Marvel has the characters to do like at LEAST 5 or more full franchises like that. And tbh, you harp on the spider man meeting the X-Men or blade kinda s***, but how often does that actually happen in the movies themselves? And how much of the runtime does it take up? If anything, I WANT more random teamups like that, especially to be their own movies so they can achieve that Marvel Team-Up kinda vibe instead of just throwing A/B tier actors to be these characters who were in 1 issue in the 70s as a gag. I'm tired of the "every character needs to have their own separate family/team" phase of this marvel s***. It f***ing sucks, I want it to be more comic booky. Idk if keeping them seperate is the answer, that's what got us here in the first place post endgame
Now if they ACTUALLY broke the s*** into different quadrants, then did crossovers from there like they said they would? I'd like that a lot. Like avengers and X-Men, but then the street level dudes and then blade/ghost rider/moon knight and them. That's 4 franchises right there, easy

confusion is the least of their problems at this point . The story and writing is just trash and placed into so many boxes for canon that they genuinely cant make a movie that is just outright GOOD. This has affected everything they have done since Endgame when arguably all the wibbly wobbly s*** in endgame was a good enough logic reason to have dimensions where they were doing whatever they wanted or alternate versions of heroes.

Getting everyone caught in the IW/endgame aftermath was a tough story decision, I gotta admit that. It was dope, but the ramifications were too crazy, and I agree with you there. Everyone's suffering now, playing catch up. Plus yeah, they gotta stop hiring these s***ty writers and scapegoat directors, it does a service to nobody
And tbh, the whole s*** is probably going exactly where you want it post-secret wars, which feels like decades away but still. There's no way they don't bite the comics, have everyone that's every been in a marvel movie in it, then collapse them all and start again

You realize it will be made using the same resources as any MCU Studios production right? It's no different to claiming Loki is radically distinct from other MCU stuff because isn't set in the main continuity.

Whatever they are trying to do with blade is stupid

i think they were gonna have issues regardless. This was an idea brought along by Ali that they literally could have done anything with. There doesn't have to be an entry point to Blade or connect XYZ, it coulda just been a standalone MCU product. All Ali seemed to want was to make a Blade film he could be proud of but they struggle with even that.
They probably don't even really get the character. It's not like Feige was going to make this movie unless approached anyways. I remember hearing Ali hated the work done by the early teams too and wanted the film to also reflect his vision
They end up in MCU universe. Otherwise if FF had existed in MCU world would’ve known about superheroes long before iron man and that would’ve been a retcon
Galactus or Surfer probably sends them
They've already done the trope of someone being from a different time/a different universe so many times. It's uncreative and a lame retcon to the fantastic four

Its not a retcon if they don’t exist in that universe though?

I'm calling it a retcon cause the fantastic four are supposed to be from the main universe. Same one as the avengers and spiderman Whatever number universe the MCU is.
The problem with the MCU is they don't care about individual quality of movies. Its all about building up to a crossover

Not in this canon tho. And I can imagine that they’re doing that bc they don’t want to be restrained by the rules of the main universe with this one movie.
That’s just what I think tho

Facts Blade should just be a standalone, they can make the s*** connect later on.

exactly this
