The hold on the RT score is kinda wild. 160 reviews and it still sits at the debut score of 88%. By this same point Superman had dropped from 91% to 85%.

WB is really good at fixing it so the debut is as high as possible though. The WW84 fall was insane stuff.

a rotten tomatoes score only shows the percentage of critics that have given a score of 6/10 or above. It doesn’t mean it’s the best reviewed superhero movie of the year or that it is an average score of 8.8 from reviewers, it means that 88% of critics gave it a score of 6 or more.

According to metacritic, fantastic four currently has an average review score of 65 and superman and thunderbolts both have an average review score of 68.

yes but rotten tomatoes (at least nowadays) doesn't give an average score so you can't say for certain what movie has the best reviews just by looking at rotten tomatoes. at least metacritic gives a weighted average to give you a better idea

Just came back from an advanced screening, definitely a real great movie from front to back. Still suffers from that usual MCU third act weakness and can be a bit run of the mill at times, but ultimately it doesn't fully throw off what the movie's going for. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss Bacharach put forward some splendid performances and yeah, the whole retro aesthetic/visuals of the film are very much on point. 8.5/10
