just wrapping my head around this...

the Avengers were supposed to go back in time, that's part of the sacred timeline. that means them botching the tesseract in NYC was also sacred, resulting in them having to go back further to get it.

but Loki picking it up isn't part of that. maybe because the Avengers were responsible enough to put everything back in place and cut off all time branches. whereas Loki would have gone and branched the s\*\*\* out of everything. fair enough.

but what about Thanos? him coming to the future in Endgame was sacred (?), but him leaving his own timeline must have branched the s\*\*\* out of that timeline. in the timeline he left, Infinity War never happened and there was no snap. the whole universe is different. shouldnt the TVA have stopped variant Thanos, thus allowing the Avengers to easily snap everyone back without the battle at the end of Endgame?
