Yeah Agatha didn’t even want to harm anyone if we’re being honest. She wanted to take Wanda’s powers because she knows the Scarlet Witch is very dangerous if she can’t control her powers, like with the Hex. When Wanda showed Agatha that she doesn’t know s*** is when Agatha got worried and tried taking her power. That’s why she was so worried when Wanda took her power instead.

based on the reception that this got for not having characters people wanted/theorized/was hinted at, no way home is doomed already, no way it hits expectations lol

really wish they didn’t focus their attention on a Holiday Special and I Am Groot and gave that attention to more interesting characters and narratives.

I’d say we haven’t gotten enough about her character in general. But I think theres enough to at least put her on the negative side of the spectrum for now

Salem scene - When shes on the stake, taking all that energy, I think she looks like shes enjoying it. Also lied twice to her coven and snatched her moms chain, smiling during it all. Wanda being able to revisit this scene would imply this was some kind of fear or trauma for her so I’ll gladly admit theres more to this we don’t know. But it’s enough for now.

Basement Reveal - The delivery of her lines drip envy, specifically that “How’d you do it sister” while clutching that bird to death in her fist lmao. On the other hand when she describes being drawn to the Hex, it’s like she was getting high, similar to the Salem scene. It was a rush. She was drawn by the power, not by the worry or obligation.

Finale - Even after finding out about the Scarlet Witch, the first thing she says isn’t that she’s destined to destroy the world, and that they need to work together to figure this out, nah she literally seems offended that Wanda wasted her power to make “Breakfast for dinner” tell me thats not some hating s*** lol. Huuuge Mysterio vibes there. She goes on to constantly talk about power and taunt Wanda about her identity in relation to it. Another thing I noticed is that she never even tries to take out Wanda, and despite her being the strongest being on Earth, Agatha still has years on years of wisdom and experience, she could’ve taken her out or subdued her in some other way. She had Wanda completely beat if it wasnt for those runes. But she was hellbent on getting that power herself. She coulda ended her right there in the basement before the finale even starts. She got greedy.

At this point I’m thinking she might have a similar involuntary nature to her magic absorption powers, but leaned into it, probably studied the whole Darkhold and went corrupt. I feel like they’re setting Wanda up to end up at a crossroads. Take the Agatha path or the (Strange?) path
