I mean the continuity in the comics has always been so messy. They retconned her connection to Magneto and her origin numerous times lmao. But that was for different reasons under entirely different circumstances.

Ike Perlmutter (head of Marvel at the time) wanted to basically write the mutants out of marvel comics and replace them with the inhumans because the studios didnt have the rights for them. And if you remember they even wanted to make an Inhumans movie in the MCU. Regardless of how that fundementally misses the mutants' point, we're way past that at this moment and the X-Men have been enjoying a very great resurgence in the comics.

We just expected a more "Wandavision" lite episode than a backstory which I still liked. I never liked Vision or Wanda in the movies. After that backstory I find them good characters

If Evan Peters’ QS isn’t tied to mutants/multiverse then what’s the point of even using him? Unless he’s another character all in itself. It would be kinda wasteful if the real reason was just to trick fans, no? He was obviously one of the positives of FOX X-Men world.

That would feel really cheap ngl. A multiverse fake out for the second time now in the MCU would be lazy writing. And why even get Evan Peters for the role when you can cast any other actor to f*** with Wanda's mind.

Plus, it isn't any stretch of the imagination to think that the series that sets up the multiverse trilogy actually involves individuals from alternate universes you know.

I agree with everything you said. And in my opinion I prefer Wanda as a mutant with magneto as her father! It’s what I grew up with. I just think not a lot of people know that it isn’t the case anymore and it causes a lot of fan theories to go in the wrong direction, setting up for disappointment.

Wanda becoming a mutant in the movies diverges from the comics in the OPPOSITE way they’re developing her character on page. It’s possible that’s what they’ll do but I don’t think it makes sense to expect that
