Eyes of Wakanda is decent so far. Only thing I’ve never liked is the futuristic tech tbh. Like these niggas got holograms n spray that seals wounds in BC times. Makes it more and more difficult to understand their isolationist stance. Don’t mind it being advance, but within reason and at least give me some exposition on how these things work. A lot of the tech just feels like 80s-90s sci-fi doohickey things of convenience.

Like what allows them to even make these things? Like there is almost no sense that went into this the more I think about it. Like sure they have access to Vibranium, but how’d they figure out how to use it for anything more than just armor and martial weapons? Bridge that gap and all the other s*** is cool with me.

I feel like I'm having deja vu seeing this critique on ktt before lmao

Overall enjoyed the show. Like how it tied into the first movie. Wish we saw more of Wakanda itself tho

When you look at the numbers, the MCU isn’t in as bad shape as some people think.

Phase 4 and 5 were both seen as failures overall but they still earned over 9 billion all together.

And Spider-Man and Doomsday should both make over a billi. So Marvel is still in decent shape, but they just need to be smart about what movies they release from now on

I agree that the success they saw from Phases 1-3 raised a very high bar but it's also okay to admit that phases after that have been an underperformance, all things considered. Mostly because they're not seeing any profit from the movies they're now releasing after about 12 years of steady profit from each movie.

One of things they need to figure out is how to make massive cuts to their budgets (both production and marketing) so that if $350-500M is their new range, they can begin to make some profit or at least breakeven.

It's easier said than done of course, but if I'm Kevin Feige, any movie that's not an Avengers movie isn't getting above a $100M budget. Focus on a lot more practical effects and less CGI. Find creative ways to market your movies that don't demand you spending $150M on marketing.

You have to consider that the bulk of the profits of the Spider-Man movies aren't going to Marvel. That's Sony's baby.

  • He said she was in talks for Doomsday months ago and nothing since, so maybe take this with a grain of salt

The substance is the most importance aspect, I didn’t say it wasn’t. I was just talking numbers

Also Thunderbolts and F4 were both good imo. And I have hopes Brand New Day can be good as well

  • Looks like no Kerry Condon after all

Even though he’s jaded, I do believe this accounting. This sentiment had always been prevalent in Hollywood. Directors, producers etc will boldly tell you they did not read/reference the source material to make it their own thing.

It's 100% where they're going to show the first full trailer

Along with X-Men Season 2 and YFN Spider-Man 2 and POSSIBLY Daredevil S2

I’ve been slowly making my way through Iron Heart. It’s probably the most cinematic a MCU show has looked since Falcon and Winter Soldier. I also personally find Riri and Hood interesting as characters. I just don’t find the rest of their crew interesting.

Marvel needs to give up on trying to incorporate modern slang talk because with the amount of time it takes to write, produce, and shoot these shows by the time it releases it’s already outdated

Lastly, I really hate this AI plot line it’s so uncomfortable every time it comes up lol

Side note but Alden Ehrenreich would’ve made for a good Bruce Banner
