In House VFX Departments have unionized now so at least they'll be treated fairly

But I wouldn't count out them going to outsource these movies to a lot of VFX houses

the doug jones casting and laurence fishburne voice over in the 2007 movie was already perfect, wouldn't mind them returning.

with the shalla bal announcement, phase 5 backlash and rdj speedrun to doom i dont think he gets a solo movie anytime soon.

if they recast, paterson joseph would kill it. if they want someone younger to match julia garner - sam witwer or steven yeun (now that he's dropped out of thunderbolts) would be interesting choices. christopher abbot and paul mescal also came to mind, although i haven't seen enough of their work.

if he does get a solo, i think ang lee or dan trachtenberg would do a good job directing; jj abrams or alex garland if they can be convinced to do something mcu. and the only writer i could think of with an exciting enough pen for the cosmic existential themes of his character was damon lindelof
